Do you charge extra for travel?
Depending on where your session is, yes! But I have a list of locations within close proximity of me that I do not charge an additional fee for. All travel fees and expenses will be discussed prior to locking down a date and paying a retainer fee. There will be no "hidden" or additional fees outside of your initial quote unless there are changes made to the session after booking, which will be discussed and cleared by both photographer and client.
What if we need to reschedule our shoot due to weather?
The weather is crazy and unpredictable here in the PNW, so the forecast is CONSTANTLY changing. I try not to reschedule too far in advance because the weather could end up being ideal and beautiful! If we do choose to reschedule, I do so 2-3 days before the session date. Another option is going with the flow, using a cute clear umbrella and rocking a rainy day romantic session! I do not charge rescheduling fees based on weather so no need to worry about that!
What types of post production editing do you offer?
I retouch images in a true to life way. I offer blemish removal and skin smoothing. My rule of thumb I like to stick to is anything that wouldn't be there in 2 weeks will be taken out in post production! If there are any additional editing requests I typically ask that my clients do so within 2 weeks of gallery delivery. ANY extensive editing will be an additional fee, an invoice will be sent to client and must be paid before any revisions/gallery re upload will take place.
Will you post my photos if I don't want you to?
My contract states that I own rights to any images I may take, though I have worked closely with foster families/clients who don't post their children online and I completely respect and honor the parents wishes! Please include this in your initial inquiry, so I can keep a note of it on file. I work personally with each client to make sure they feel respected and their needs are being met!
Are there more cost effective session options?
I offer a discount to clients who refer family and friends to me, and I host mini sessions a few times a year for clients who would like a shorter session time. These are typically posted on my social media platforms (Facebook and instagram stories) please check the link in my IG bio to see any current mini sessions being offered! If you would like to book a standard session but it isn't in your budget, I offer payment plans as well. Please mention that you would like additional info on payment plans in your inquiry so I can better assist you!
I really want you as my wedding photographer, but I would feel more comfortable meeting you beforehand!
AMAZING! I LOVE meeting my potential clients to make sure we will be a good fit! I take clients all over the US, and I offer over the phone consults as well as Zoom. For local clients, those options are available, as well as an in person coffee/lunch date on me! I love meeting with my wedding clients a few times before the big day, so I also offer complimentary engagement sessions with every package booked. My main focus is making sure my clients feel comfortable with me, and keeping a very open line of communication with wedding planners/Bride and Groom leading up to the wedding. I also send out questionnaires to my clients once booked to get all of the little details needed to make sure your wedding photos are everything you are hoping for!
